Minimising Resin Extract
Both our double and triple glazed window ranges are created using a finger-jointed timber design that have all major knots from the wood removed to reduce resin extract production. Resin extract post manufacturing is an unavoidable, natural phenomenon that occurs due to the fact that wood is a living material, but it is easily sorted.
If it does occur, it is easy to remove with a soft wet cloth and a light dab of white spirit. Just remember to wash the area after you’ve finished. If the resin has either dried or crystalised, it can simply be swept away with a medium stiff brush.
